It is now possible to do some Layer actions for AFX parts via start_mdl.cfg. First of all here is a List of all existing AFX Layers:

00_CONNECTOR_SURFACE                        For D30 Item Parts. Required for the assembly of connectors
00_PROFIL_DATUM                                General layer with datums
00_PROFIL_END_CSYS                        CS_S and CS_E of beams
00_PROFIL_GEOMETRY                        Geometry of beams
00_PROFIL_IMPORT                                Import geometry
00_PROFIL_QUILT                                Quilts for cuts with beams
00_PROFIL_SIZE_NOTE                        Annotations with profile size information
00_PROFIL_SLOT_CURVE                        Slot curves for bosch and item profiles
00_PROFIL_SUBASM_END_SURFS        Project subasm end surfaces
00_PROFIL_SUBASM_REF_CURVE        Project subasm curve
00_SCREW_POINTS                                Datum points for screw connections
00_PROFIL_DRW_HIDE                        Layer with all datums sorfaces and curves

The following new functions were implemented in the start_mdl.cfg file:

* RENAME_LAYER <OLD_NAME> <NEW_NAME>
        Renames the existing layer to the new given name.
        Optional: RENAME_LAYER_PART / RENAME_LAYER_ASM: to just rename Part or assembly layers

* DELETE_LAYER <LAYERNAME>
        Deletes the given Layer.
        Optional:         DELETE_LAYER_PART / DELETE_LAYER_ASM: to just delete Part or assembly layers
                                DELETE_LAYER ALL: Deletes all layers

* RULE_LAYER_TEMPLATE <TEMPLATE>
        Define the name of a Layertemplate. All rule based layers from that template will be copied to any new AFX part.
        The path for the file is afx/configuration/
        Optional: RULE_LAYER_TEMPLATE_PART / RULE_LAYER_TEMPLATE_ASM: If you want different names for part/asm

CREATE_RULE_LAYER_PARAM YES / NO
        Will create the feature parameter BUW_LAYER_INFO with the name of the layer that the feature is stored on.
        This enables you to create a set of layer rules to collect all features that are specific for AFX on a certain
        layer.
